Interactive Projection System

An interactive projection system consists of three main elements: a projector, a camera, and a computer. In the system, a stripe pattern is projected onto a plane. When a hand or object approaches this area, it deforms the pattern. During the interaction, the camera captures the image and transmits it to a computer. A novel algorithm processes the image to create an animated 3D object. During the interactive process, depth information is also acquired.

An interactive projection system uses an electronic display device to present information to users. However, these devices have a passive nature, requiring the user to watch the display to receive information. Thus, such systems cannot deliver important information quickly. An interactive projection system recognizes the user's current state and presents relevant information on the environment. In addition, it presents information that is within the user's field of view. The proposed system uses RGB-D cameras to detect the user's field of vision and estimation of the user's head pose.

In addition to a projector, an interactive projection system requires a PC and a light-coloured floor. The projector can be set up in almost any room, although a dark room is best for maximum impact. The projection system should also be installed in a darkened room with controlled ambient light. It is advisable to use an LED-based projection system, as it allows for more realistic 3D content. The presentation process should be simple and easy to implement.

A human-symbiotic system uses an electronic display device to present information to users. However, these devices are passive, and users must watch the display to gain the desired information. Moreover, these devices are not ideal for fast transmission of important information. An interactive projection system, on the other hand, uses its ability to detect the user's current state and presents information to the user within his or her field of view. The proposed system combines RGB-D cameras and estimation of the user's head pose.

The most common components of an interactive projection system include a PC, a projector, and a light-coloured floor. The projection surface should be light-coloured so that it can maximize the impact of the projected image. It is recommended that a light-coloured floor be used for optimal impact. The light should also be controlled to ensure that the audience is not blinded by the light. If the audience is able to see the projected image, it is a good idea to place a small LCD on the floor.

An interactive projection system can be useful in many scenarios. An effective depth detection method is critical in a human-symbiotic system. Depending on the situation, a person can interact with the projected image by pointing and clicking, modifying or deleting objects. Using an interactive projection system can also help people with disabilities. The following are some of the features of an interactive projection system. It is a great choice for classrooms, boardrooms, and conference rooms.
